Because the lyrics in 80’s music are more relevant today than even then by far, it’s still very popular among young people just like how I was. You guys are lucky, the environment isn’t’ so conservative today where it’s here to stay. I like Megadeath, Metallica, White Lion, Judas Priest, and Malmsteen. I didn’t get to hear all the music since the cassettes were very pricey like almost $20 often times on $3/hour wages with axes running $250 and up, but I had a Kramer ax with Crate stack and pedals. To hear much of it or discover music, you had to buy it except when friends dubbed each other tapes since there was no internet, very few TV channels, 1 MTV channel, and no events outside big cities like concerts or places to hear it. We listened to radio even though it’s song titles were very limited to as an outlet to hear music.

After almost three years since the group’s debut, INI is on its way to winning the hearts of new MINIs around the world. INI — pronounced “eye-en-eye” — is an 11-member global boy band born from the survival audition program Produce 101 Japan Season 2 (GYAO!/TBS), broadcast in 2021. (GYAO!) aired in Japan before the band’s debut, and the members were featured on a segment on the TV show Yoru no Brunch (TBS) from the day they debuted.

Released on February 18, 1987, it was the second single from their debut album Look What the Cat Dragged In. Fast forward to 2021 and we are all just pissed off and bitter about every fucking thing.When I first hear Poison I was playing a lot of Sabbath and ACDC which is really fun and good to play but damn. Then it was a whole new ballgame from the drab into the land of glam. Overall, “Talk Dirty to Me” is a song about youthful lust and rebellion. It was a hit in the 1980s and became an anthem for the glam metal subculture. INI has also become a fixture at KCON, not only at the L.A. Event — again, their third consecutive year to perform — but also at KCON 2023 THAILAND, KCON in South Korea, and the music program M COUNTDOWN, gradually gaining experience performing outside of Japan.

Go listen to the beginning of both songs. And for god sakes, this was never considered “real rock.” These guys (and many hairbands) were considered glam pop rock. They were one step above boy bands in terms of music quality…There were a few quality songs that came out of the era, but most were very formula oriented and lyrically cheesy as hell. Having said that, I rather listen to this type of music than corny emo alternative rock music like the COLD WAR KIDS.

Stop putting a rose tint on history. Half of these bands have either lost members back in the 80s because of drugs and alcohol or became drug addicts later in life so it’s not all fun and games and it wasn’t that either. Alot of musicians from that time say they regret doing drugs and messing their lives up, and the people who say it was all great and fun are liars that don’t want to admit that they fucked up and were stupid. If you like this song, that’s a good indication that your heart is beating and you are alive!

This year’s KCON takes place Friday (July 26) to Sunday at Crypto.com Arena, L.A. Convention Center and Gilbert Lindsay Plaza in Los Angeles. Unless you’re in the hardcore scene, in which case the bands are different, but the rest is the same. Jump in, break your nose, see someone get stabbed, get spat on by the singer, have a good time. Talk Dirty to Me peaked at #9 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became the band’s first chart appearance on the Hot 100.
